Chutney at The Next Women Summit

June 29, 2017

Chutney at The Next Women Summit, Amsterdam. Showcasing contemporary design from India for your home.

Yes, that's me, Monica, getting ready for the day to start!

A couple weeks back Chutney was at The Next Women Summit - the Ambition Edition 2017. A place to meet, network, share and learn from other (female) entrepreneurs. Further, a great place to showcase Chutney. So here are a few photos to give you a glimpse of the event and show you the products in a complete different setting.

In good company. Next to other amazing brand On the Rocks and CVRD.

Close-up of the products.

The products shown here are: Katran green cushion cover,  Gunjan black cushion cover, River Boat cushion cover, Tusker Treat cushion cover, Langur cushion cover, Camel Traders cushion cover, Mugs & Chai glasses

The Different Different Camels Cushion cover, quirky, fun & handmade!

The highlight at this, and all events, the milk can floor lamp.

Available in green, blue and red

Another statement: the pintuck hanging lamps. Available in 4 colours.

A special thanks to Alexandra Dragne, a Romanian artist based in the Netherlands, working in the fields of scenography and interior design.

She helped me out all day, from planning before, to styling on the day itself and took all the photos shown above. To see more of her work:

The Inspirational Speakers

Chantal Janzen, from &C.

She talked about her story, from when she was a small, chubby little kid, to where she is now. One thing that really stood out in her story, always have confidence, try things and at times, do listen to what others are telling you.

Prins Constantijn van Oranje, special envoy of Startup Delta, interviewing Sarah Lear - Co-founder Nextdoor and Ilse Kamps – CEO Catawiki.

Eva Jinek, on empowering women.

Something I loved that she said: one is about giving women more opportunities, but even more important, women need to step forward and grab the opportunity and say yes! Don't put yourself down. Believe in yourself.

David Allen, author of Getting Things Done. A very interesting system to productivity.

Michael Kliger - CEO,

This is just a small glimpse of all the interesting talks. Apart from this there were workshops and one-on-on coaching sessions.

Hope you enjoyed this small glimpse of behind the scenes of Chutney. Don't forget to join the Chutney Inner Circle, and be the first to learn about Indian design, inspiration for your home and get special offers. Scroll down to sign up.

Enjoy the flavour of Indian design!
