In this edition of the Chutney Style Guide, we don't mix and match colours. We have selected 3 different colour palettes for each of the 3 styles for your grey sofa. 3 colours that look fabulous on a darker shade of grey. We mix and match shades, prints, textiles and the Indian designer brands that we have at Chutney to create the 3 unique looks. Create a new flavour for your home - sweet, savoury or spicy! It's modern, yet eclectic, a bohemian touch, a taste of wanderlust, yet elegant and luxurious design. It's hard to sum it up in one style.

First, get inspired by the colours and life in India. See how these are translated into the 3 styles for your living room & sofa decor, that we show you today.
A little corner on the sofa, that is perfect for relaxing, reading a book, having a hot cup of tea or coffee. Maybe to even catch a nap or cuddle up with a loved one or your children? Or why not just sit back and binge on some Netflix series.
Even with a workspace propped at the back, or any other 'mess', it's easy to liven up this space and give it a really cosy feel. It just takes some home accessories, design that's new and different 😉 and your imagination.

We used 4 Indian designer brands, throughout to create the 3 looks, each with their own distinct style and story.
India Circus, a design house, that brings you an "All-Indian palette, from Mughal Royalty to roadside Chai. A curation of the essence of life in India". Machine-made, adhering to fair trade & labour laws.
Sahil & Sarthak, a design duo, that "weave together Ethic, Ethnic and Ecology. Designing beautiful & functional products, for a contemporary lifestyle, whilst preserving local, Indian traditions and craftsmanship". Handmade with up-cycled products or using techniques that have minimal wastage. Their cushion are even made by a local Indian self-help group for women.
SAFOMASI, a British-Indian couple in India that create "pieces with a soul & story, that are treasured for life. Their playful figurative prints are designed to evoke both memories & wanderlust, bringing a small part of their colourful world into your home". Handmade with love. We can show you who made your cushions!
No-MAD 95% India, an Indian founder with a Belgian Design Director, who is global at heart. Based on the concept of Daydream. "In India we live near the floor, sit cross-legged, rest on a charpaï, surrounded by textiles, enjoying a cup of good tea, escape to the delicious strolling areas, to wellness...taking time to live and to listen to ourselves." Handmade luxury with some cushions even stitched dot by dot. Therefore o motif on any cushion is exactly the same. You are truly getting unique, of a kind, pieces.
